How to perform: to make sure every student can actively take part in the class

Professor Fujikawa.
Now I teach you how to perform histories in English. But I must tell you first that I am not sure if this method will do well or not. You are the first students to suffer from this education or un-education As there is one birthday for you in one year and 364 un-birthdays, there are lots of un-educations in the world and little of education

There are basic rules you must observe.

Generally
1 Speak, then speak loudly.
2 Broken English is better, because sometimes it is more understandable to the majority of participants.

For performers,

For performers,
3 Use PowerPoint, but never write many sentences in slides.
You are allowed to use only four sentences in one slide and you have to take time to explain in one slide. Three sentences in one slide are better and never write a long sentence. The sentence must not exceed two lines. 4 Performance needs practice.
5 You must finish PowerPoint slides well before the presentation.
6 You must prepare and practice presentation. You must practice presentation at least ten times before your performance. You must know how long your presentation takes. If on the eighth practice you are able to finish your presentation in ten minutes, you must try to make it in fifteen minutes on ninth and tenth practice. Speaking quickly is not your purpose. Speaking clearly is your purpose.
7 You are actors and actresses, so you must use your body. Just moving your lips does not make you a good presenter.

Asking questions

Asking questions
8 You will be expelled from the class if you do not ask questions. You must contribute to the class not only by presentation but also by asking questions.
9 When asking questions, you must write down your questions. You must take notes during presentation and you must prepare at least three questions. If someone mentions one or two of these questions, you will ask the rest. If all, you will go to hell. So ask questions as early as possible, if you are not ingenious enough.
10 When making presentation, you should not read. This is the reason why you must practice on speaking a number of times. However, you must read your questions word by word when asking questions because you cannot practice. This enables you to make yourself clearly understood.
11 You must watch carefully what other people do. You must imitate good performance.
12 Do not be afraid of making mistakes, be afraid of big bad wolf and Virginia Wolf, so write and speak clearly.

In the class everyone must do the following

Seven Rules
(1)Presenting you in English.
(2)Presenting your favorite topic in history in English.
(3)Preparing PowerPoint slides for each presentation.
(4)Preparing a short summary for each presentation in A4 paper.
(5)Ask questions.
(6)Provide necessary documents.
(7)Try to be humorous.
The rest of the time was used to teach a couple of students how to learn PowerPoint.
